1. What Houston365 is
Houston365 is a directory and request-matching service. We are not a contractor, don't perform or guarantee any work, and don't employ, endorse or vouch for the businesses listed. Many listings are built from public records (such as Texas license data) and haven't been confirmed by the business; listings marked “Featured” or “Sponsored” are paid placements. Always check a contractor's license, insurance and references, get written estimates, and pull required permits before work begins.
2. Homeowners and quote requests
- When you request quotes you choose which companies may receive your request, and you agree to the consent wording shown on the form at that time. Each request goes to no more than three companies.
- Any agreement for work is between you and the company you hire. Houston365 isn't a party to it and isn't responsible for estimates, work quality, pricing, scheduling, warranties or disputes.
- Provide accurate information, and only submit a request for a property you own, manage, are buying or are authorized to arrange work for.
3. Business accounts
Business owners sign in with a passwordless email link and must be 18 or older and authorized to act for the business. You are responsible for activity under your account. Claiming a listing may require proving control of the email, website domain or phone number on file.
4. Responsibilities of listed businesses
- Keep your listing accurate, including licenses, service areas and contact details.
- Hold every state and local license your work requires (for example TDLR for HVAC and electrical work, TSBPE for plumbing and gas lines, TDLR for mold assessment and remediation) and carry appropriate insurance.
- Contact homeowners who send you a request only about that request. You are solely responsible for your calls, texts and emails, including compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Texas telemarketing law (Texas Business & Commerce Code chapters 302–305), the Texas no-call list where it applies, and CAN-SPAM. Honor every request to stop contacting someone.
- Don't offer to pay, waive or rebate an insurance deductible, and don't act as a public adjuster or negotiate a homeowner's insurance claim — both are prohibited for contractors in Texas.
- Don't upload unlawful content, infringe others' rights, or misuse, scrape or overload the Service.
5. Reviews policy (FTC)
Reviews on Houston365 must reflect the genuine, first-hand experience of real customers. Consistent with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), you and your business must not:
- create, buy or solicit fake, AI-fabricated or misrepresented reviews;
- offer compensation or incentives conditioned on the content or sentiment of a review (any material connection must be clearly disclosed);
- suppress, or selectively route based on predicted sentiment, honest negative reviews (no “review gating”);
- post reviews of your own business or a competitor's.
Houston365 collects reviews only through single-use, emailed invitations and displays them without sentiment-based filtering. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms.
6. Advertising and paid placement
Featured listings and sponsored slots are paid placements and are labeled. Some guide pages show third-party ads, including Google AdSense. We don't endorse advertised products or services. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are used.
7. User content & intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit (listings, reviews) and grant Houston365 a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute it to operate the Service. The Houston365 platform, software, and branding remain our property.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Directory listings and reviews are user-generated and are not endorsements by Houston365. Nothing on the Service is professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Houston365 will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Houston365 harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, your communications with consumers, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
